ROMEO AND JULIET first look

Never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo.

 

Shakespeare’s timeless tale of fair Verona’s star-crossed lovers is re-imagined for a new generation – this time by Academy Award® winner Julian Fellowes, the acclaimed writer of GOSFORD PARK and the smash hit DOWNTON ABBEY.

 

Douglas Booth (GREAT EXPECTATIONS) and Hailee Steinfeld (TRUE GRIT) will star as the titular characters in a cast that also includes Ed Westwick (TV’s GOSSIP GIRL), Lesley Manville (ANOTHER YEAR), Paul Giamatti (THE IDES OF MARCH), Damian Lewis (TV’s HOMELAND) and Australia’s own Kodi Smit-McPhee (LET ME IN).

 

Production is underway and this is our first look at the main characters in glorious full costume. Stay tuned for more details on ROMEO AND JULIET…and set a date for Valentine’s Day 2014 to be swept away by the ageless story of undying love.
